

Nearby Notifications is a basic feature of the VeeCard loyalty program that helps you reconnect with your customers in real-time. It sends a customized push notification to a client's mobile device when they come within a given proximity of your merchant shop. This is an excellent way to drive foot traffic and remind customers to visit you.
For example, when a client with your loyalty card passes near your store, their phone will automatically display a message like: "Welcome to visit VeeCoffee".
Nearby Notifications can be applied to all published card designs. If a client has been issued a card that is active and published, they are eligible to receive these location-based notifications.
You can customize the notification message for different customer segments by applying different strategies to different card types.
On the Nearby Notification Edit page, you will need to configure the following details:
Note: This setup allows you to define different strategies for different card types. For example, VIP cardholders might receive an exclusive message like "Welcome, VIP member! Enjoy a complimentary pastry today," while standard cardholders receive a general greeting.
If you delete a customized nearby notification from a published card, or if a card type does not have a specific rule assigned, the system will use a default nearby notification:
The issue name of the card.
For example, if your card is named "VeeCoffee Rewards Card," the default notification will simply say: "VeeCoffee Rewards Card."
Once configured, the process is fully automated and requires no action from your staff.
It is important to note that we respect the client's privacy and control over their device.
We recommend informing your customers about the benefits of this feature during sign-up to encourage them to keep it enabled.
